Our record speaks for itself. Duncklee Cooling & Heating has been servicing the Eastern Connecticut & Rhode Island area since 1973. We offer custom system design, installation and total service.

Our commitment to comfort, quality and value has allowed us to become the area’s leader in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technology and service.

Company Timeline

1973
Duncklee, Inc. became incorporated as a Connecticut Corporation named L.H. Duncklee Refrigeration, Inc. with certification to perform work in Connecticut.

1981
The Contracting Department separated from the Service Department, expanding Duncklee, Inc.’s contracting business to provide the most professional and competitive bids in New London County and Eastern Connecticut.

1983
Duncklee, Inc. became licensed to perform work in the state of Rhode Island.

1984
Duncklee, Inc. formed a separate division dedicated to installing complete air distribution systems.

1985
During the rapid industry growth of the “business boom,” Duncklee, Inc. expanded our workforce to 30 staff members to accommodate growing business demand.

1989
Jonathan L. Duncklee joined the company.

1990
Duncklee, Inc. began a period of downsizing and restructuring to adjust to a slower economy.

1994
A record heat wave created increased business activity. Duncklee, Inc.’s Service Department grew to meet its client’s needs.

1995
As part of Duncklee, Inc.’s commitment to education in the industry, again Duncklee, Inc. began training initiatives to develop trade apprentices.

1997
Duncklee, Inc. hired a new salesman to penetrate larger markets; and have expanded the focus of our marketing strategy to include new communities.

1999
Duncklee, Inc. moved to its new headquarters at 296 Taugwonk Road in Stonington.

2001
Duncklee, Inc. expanded the new headquarters to double its original size to 6400 square feet.
