Company Timeline
1973
Duncklee, Inc. became incorporated
as a Connecticut Corporation names
L.H. Duncklee Refrigeration, Inc. with
certification to perform work in Connecticut.
1983
Duncklee, Inc. became licensed to
perform work in the state of Rhode Island.
1989
Jonathan L. Duncklee joined the company full time.
1990
We began a period of downsizing and
restructuring to adjust to a slower economy.
1995
As part of our commitment to education
in the industry, again we began training
initiatives to develop trade apprentices.
1999
We moved to our new headquarters
at 296 Taugwonk Road in Stonington
1981
Our contracting Department separated from
the Service Department, expanding our
contracting business to provide the most
professional and competitive bids in New
London County, and Eastern Connecticut.
1984
We formed a separate division dedicated to
installing complete air distribution systems.
1985
During the rapid industry growth of the
"business boom," we expanded our
workforce to 30 staff members to
accommodate growing business demand.
1994
A record heat wave created increased
business activity. Our service Department
grew to meet our client's needs.
1997
We hired a new salesman to penetrate
larger markets; and have expanded the
focus of our marketing strategy to include
new communities.
2001
We expanded our new headquarters to
double its original size to 6400 square feet.
